MEET FOUNDER AND DESIGNER, DR. LAURA HA

Dr. Laura Ha founded Eyecon Optomertry in 2011, which is based in Reseda of the San Fernando Valley and has been a service to the community for over a decade.

I build Eyecon Optometry because I want to be rooted in the community. To see my patients through all phases of their lives. We just celebrated out first decade in the Valley, which is a fantastic milestone for me, personally and professionally. Community is where my heart is. If you work with passion, you will find your center and fulfillment in life. I'm very passionate about being an eye doctor and private practice owner. There is a shift in the industry as an online company, and insurance cuts our margins. I hope that Eyekind eyewear can allow private practitioners to secure their place in the community and continue to have a thriving, succesful practice. When local businesses thrive, the community thrives. Local is beautiful, and it is meaningful.

Out of every service that she has offered for the last ten years, Dr. Ha reveals that her personal favorite has always been the process of selecting frames for patients. This is where she comes up with Eyekind, a premium eyewear brand designed exclusively for private practices.

I've always loved the process of selecting the frame for a patient. I think that completes the full circle. I get to prescribe the prescription then choose the frame that they will get to use every day. There is nothing more personal than selecting an eyewear that will frame a person's face. I hear what patients say daily about maximizing comfort but also looking stylish and classy.
